Local Associations

The Local Associations provide an important networking resource for the independent music teacher by providing:

  • Opportunities for personal and professional growth including the development of teaching, communication and leadership skills.
  • Opportunities to network with other music professionals in the community.
  • Performance and educational experiences for our students.
  • Opportunities to work within the community to promote awareness of the value of music education for all individuals.

To join a PMTA Local Association you must first join MTNA and PMTA. You can do so by visiting the MTNA website. For more information on a local association near you contact any of the Local Association Presidents listed below. If there is no Local Association near you, contact any PMTA officer or visit www.mtna.org for more information on how to establish a group in your community. We look forward to meeting you!
